Class Description

A Qi Gong workout for weight wellness that normalizes & stabilizes metabolism, which can lead to weight loss or gain -in other words- normalizing the weight and metabolism for your individual body. Featuring the Swimming Dragon movement, an ancient practice known for it's ability to reduce excess abdominal fat, this Qi Gong is designed to bring your body, mind & spirit into a state of health, harmony and balance. These metabolism boosting movements transform stress into a sustainable energy. Included in this practice is breathwork, self-massage of acupressure points & a meditation which harmonizes the inner organ systems. Squatting is emphasized in each Qi Gong movement which stimulates the production of Human Growth Hormone, a vital component to Amira Kusala, Instructor Inspired by the Yellow Dragon of Transformation, I have used the wisdom and longevity practices from the Ni family tradition to restore my health. With a robust belief in epigenics (rising above our genes)*, I am changing my inherited genetic predisposition toward obesity and poor health to that of an active, productive person. As a cancer survivor and pivoting away from an inability to walk without support, adrenal exhaustion and chronic fatigue, I am living evidence that Traditional Chinese Medicine and lifestyle disciplines manifest true transformation. Please join me in that vibrant time of the morning when the Yang Qi is rising & is ideal to gather, while it is still fresh and new and oh so rejuvenating! It’s a potent way to begin your day! *Dr. Bruce Lipton tells us in Biology of Belief that we are able to change the way our genes express themselves and therefore are not doomed to follow in the footsteps of our ancestor’s health conditions and propensities. It does require the discipline of regulating our thoughts, food decisions, movement activity and living a positive, uplifting life. This is also a natural Taoist way of life.
