Cultivating a High Spiritual Mind

Although God is the highest spiritual projection of humanity, it is difficult to learn directly from God. Thus people promoted faith in God in order that the low mind could be uplifted by the high mind.

However conventional spiritual exaltation bases itself on an image of power worship--a kind of super cop in the sky, which takes people in a completely different direction away from high mindedness towards lowly competition and conflict. In order to correct this movement, we need appropriate spiritual cultivation whereby each person is responsible for learning from their higher mind, and for teaching healthy spirituality to his or her local social authorities and governments. Gradually, we can create a model country from which other countries can learn.

While conventional religions have helped in disciplining society and in making a step towards readying society for total spiritual integration, they cannot help in this situation of moving people away from an emotional lower mind to a rational objective and higher mind. True help comes from a genuine spiritual education which is the purpose and difficult challenge of the Integral Way.
